Job Description

· Produce correspondence, manuscripts, notes, summaries, meeting agendas, minutes and other material from a variety of sources

· Develop and maintain departmental files, documents, data files and confidential information

· Respond to requests for information concerning office and organizational procedures, programs and other activities/functions

· Answer incoming telephone calls and refers to appropriate personnel for proper handling

· Gather and summarize data for projects, studies and reports as and when requested

· Coordinate special functions, events or programs as assigned, including special studies, surveys, publications, etc.

· Serve as a liaison between departments and others within and/or external to Bidaya

· Recommend improvements to departmental policies and direct the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of Administration activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective services

· Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the section in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude

Required Skills

• Shorthanded
• Knowledge of office procedures, protocols, organization and filing systems and a variety of PC and/or word processing systems
• Demonstrated typing proficiency of at least 65 words-per-minute with accuracy
• Strong organizational and project management skills to coordinate multiple activities
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to speak and write in English is required
• Ability to speak and write in Arabic is preferred
